FOR TUTORS AND TUTORING CENTRES

Every parent knows their child turned up.

Classes, the register and fees in one place — free. Parents get a WhatsApp when their child is absent or late, a summary every Friday, and a nudge when a fee is due. You pay only for the WhatsApp messages you send.

WHAT THE PARENT GETS

The message is the product.

Mark the register on your phone. If a child is absent or late, their parent hears within minutes — and if you fix a mis-tap straight away, nobody hears anything. Every Friday each parent gets one short summary for all their children.

HOW IT WORKS

Set up a term in an afternoon.

01
Add your classes

Name the class, pick the days and time, and the whole term is scheduled — skipping the days you are closed. Teachers and rooms can never be double-booked.

02
Add families

Add each parent and their children, and record the parent's consent. Messages always go to the parent, never to the child.

03
Take the register

One tap per student. Close the register and the parents of anyone absent or late are told. Fees, payments and who owes what sit on the same screen.

FOR TUTORING CENTRES

Many teachers, many rooms, one timetable.

A centre with several teachers and rooms runs on the same free tools, and the bigger the centre, the more each part matters.

No double-booking

A class that would put a teacher or a room in two places at once is refused, with the clashing dates listed — and nothing is changed.

Messages spread out

Friday summaries go out across the evening, not all at once, and each family gets one message however many children you teach.

Fees at a glance

Raise a term, month or per-lesson charge for a whole class in one step. Raising it twice charges nobody twice.

Parents’ data handled properly

Consent is recorded before a child is enrolled, we keep only the child’s name, and deleting a family deletes everything about them.

A tutor with around 15 students typically sends 60–80 WhatsApp messages a month.

Questions, answered.

Is it really free?
Yes. Classes, the register, fee records, parent emails and the family page cost nothing — no trial, no card. The only thing you pay for is WhatsApp messages, at Meta’s own rate plus 25%, in packs from $25.
Who gets the messages — the parent or the student?
Always the parent. Students are usually children, so we keep only a student’s name, and every message goes to the parent you added. A student aged 18 or over can be their own contact.
Won’t parents find it annoying?
They get an alert only when their child is absent or late, one summary a week, and fee reminders. There is no message for every lesson. Every message has a Stop messages button, and the parent can switch to email from their family page.
What if I mark the wrong child absent?
Fix it straight away and nothing is sent. Alerts go out when you close the register, or 15 minutes after the lesson starts — whichever comes first — and they use the mark as it stands then.
Do you collect fees for me?
No. tutor.fish keeps the records — charges per lesson, month or term, cash and transfer payments, and who owes what — and reminds parents before a fee is due. The money goes to you the way it does now.
Does it work for a centre with several teachers and rooms?
Yes. Add your teachers and rooms, and the timetable refuses any class that would put a teacher or a room in two places at once.
